According to the 2017 Edition of the Comprehensive Plan, there is an existing land use recommendation on the parcel. It specifically states:
โCommercial development in the sector should be limited to the existing commercially zoned parcels at Highland Drive and Telegraph Road. These parcels are planned for neighborhood-serving commercial activities up to .25 FAR. In order to have a minimal impact on the surrounding neighborhoods, the development should: (1) Provide substantial screening and buffering along boundaries adjacent to residential and recreational uses; (2) Discourage automobile-oriented commercial uses; (3) Provide pedestrian access to adjacent residential areas; (4) Provide architecturally compatible development, good site design and effective landscaping along Telegraph Road; (5) Limit building height to 35 feet; and (6) If the existing structure is retained, the facade should be upgraded to ensure architectural compatibility with the surrounding area.โ
